The difference between BVV and RVV sheathed wire

BVV wire and RVV wire are both sheathed wires, so what is the difference between them?   First, let us understand the meaning of their model letters: B - cloth wire, R - flexible wire structure, the first V - PVC insulation in plastic, the second V - PVC sheath in plastic. In fact, these two kinds of wires are essentially the same, both belong to sheathed wires, but respectively, they will have a certain difference in type and structure, such as BVV wires belong to hard sheathed wires, and RVV wires belong to flexible sheathed wires.   1. Type differences BVV cable: Full name of copper core PVC insulated PVC sheathed circular sheathed wire, also known as light PVC sheathed cable, commonly known as hard sheathed wire. RVV cable: Full name of light copper core PVC insulated PVC sheathed flexible cable, also known as light PVC sheathed flexible wire, commonly known as flexible sheathed wire. 2. Differences in conductor structure The BVV wire is a single copper wire with a larger cross-section inside, and the RVV wire is a single copper wire with a smaller cross-section inside. For example, for a 2*1.5mm² sheath, the BVV inner core is a single copper wire, with 2 inner cores. The cross-section of each inner core is 1.5mm², and each inner core is a copper wire with a diameter of 1.38. The inner core of RVV is composed of many small filaments. RVV has two inner cores. The cross-section of each inner core is 1.5mm², but each inner core is composed of 30 copper wires with a diameter of 0.25MM.   3. Differences in usage environment RVV flexible sheathed wires are used in power wires, control wires and signal transmission wires for electrical appliances, instruments, electronic equipment and automatic generation devices. They can be used specifically for anti-theft alarm systems, building intercom systems, instruments, meters, monitoring and control installations, etc. BVV hard sheathed wire is suitable for cables and wires used in power devices, household appliances, instruments and telecommunications equipment with AC voltages of 450/750V and below. It is also used for surface-mounted wires. BV is harder than RV wire, RVV cable is a flexible sheathed wire, while BVV is a solid sheathed wire. But in terms of price, the price of BVV wires will be higher. Due to the different structures, there are certain differences in the usage range of the two cables. When choosing, we should choose the appropriate cable according to the environment.   The above is an introduction to the "Difference between BVV wire and RVV wire". I believe everyone has a better understanding of the differences and advantages of the two. It is recommended to continue to pay attention to Zhufeng Cable to learn more about wires and cables.
